THE DETAILS
Titanium sits at 6 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than gold or platinum. It’s roughly 50% lighter than most alternatives, so it feels almost weightless on the hand. Titanium is one of the most biocompatible metals known — the same grade used in surgical implants and dental work. It’s completely hypoallergenic, won’t tarnish, and won’t corrode even in seawater. At roughly 50% lighter than most ring metals, it’s comfortable enough to wear all day without noticing it.
It sits at 6 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than gold or platinum, though not as hard as tungsten. Over time, titanium develops a soft satin patina of fine surface marks, but these can be polished out. The black PVD coating is bonded at a molecular level rather than plated on top.
