THE DETAILS
One below diamond. Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — it won’t scratch from keys, tools, or everyday contact. The black PVD coating is bonded at a molecular level, not plated on top, so it won’t peel or tarnish. Samantha from Lytham St Annes bought the Jet for her husband who works a manual job: “Looks great and as he has a manual job it’s proving to be hardy — no dents or scratches.”

Why Tungsten
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. It’s approximately ten times harder than 18-karat gold. Under normal daily wear, it won’t scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or anything softer than a sapphire.
It’s also one of the heaviest ring materials available — nearly the same density as 18-karat gold. That weight is the single most mentioned detail in Jet reviews. Buyers consistently describe it as solid, substantial, and feeling like a ring that costs far more than it does.
Tungsten won’t rust, tarnish, or corrode. The black PVD finish is bonded at a molecular level, not painted or plated on top. It won’t react with skin. Nickel-bonded tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic — the nickel bonds so tightly with the tungsten during manufacturing that it loses its ability to cause a skin reaction.
