THE DETAILS
The mother of pearl inlay catches light differently at every angle — soft flashes of white and colour that shift as your hand moves. No coating, no print. Natural shell, set into tungsten. Chloe from Barrow in Furness noticed it straight away: “The pearl catches the light and looks stunning.”
One step below diamond in hardness. The polished silver tungsten frame protects the pearl inlay on both sides and won’t scratch, tarnish, or lose its finish. The PVD coating bonds at a molecular level — the same process used on luxury watches. Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — 9 on the Mohs scale, one step below diamond. The polished silver frame won’t scratch from everyday contact, won’t bend under pressure, and won’t tarnish. The PVD-coated finish bonds colour at a molecular level rather than plating it on top.
The tungsten frame also serves a structural purpose — it protects the mother of pearl inlay on both sides, keeping it shielded during daily wear. Maxine’s husband replaced his white gold band with this one: “My husband has been looking for a tougher wedding band as the original one was white gold. He is so pleased with this one.”
