THE DETAILS
Grade 5 titanium — the same alloy used in aircraft frames and jet engines. It rates 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, harder than gold or platinum, and the PVD finish is bonded at a molecular level rather than plated on top. Unlike tungsten, titanium won’t shatter if dropped — it absorbs impact. Keith bought the Triumph and was immediately impressed: “The ring looks fantastic.”
Titanium is roughly 50% lighter than tungsten, gold, or steel. The 8mm width gives the Triumph presence on the hand without the heaviness of traditional metals. The polished black body and raised brushed silver sections are bonded using PVD — physical vapour deposition. This is the same coating process used on high-end watches.
