THE DETAILS
Titanium sits at 6 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than gold and platinum. It won’t tarnish, corrode, or react with moisture. The black PVD coating is bonded at a molecular level rather than plated on top. Why Titanium
Titanium is one of the most biocompatible metals known — the same grade used in surgical implants, hip replacements, and dental work. It’s completely hypoallergenic. If you’ve had reactions to other metals, titanium won’t cause irritation.
It’s also dramatically lighter than most ring metals — roughly 50% lighter than most traditional ring metals. That weight difference is the single most mentioned detail in Vitality reviews. Buyers who’ve never worn a ring before say they forget it’s on within hours.
Titanium won’t rust, tarnish, or corrode — even in seawater. It rates 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, harder than gold and platinum. It will develop a fine satin patina over time with heavy wear, but surface marks can be polished out.
