THE DETAILS
Tungsten carbide sits at 9 on the Mohs hardness scale ā one below diamond. The black PVD finish is bonded at a molecular level, not plated on top. The meteorite inlay is sealed under resin, smooth and protected. Daniel from Manchester described the quality as āsuper high qualityā and said the weight of the ring adds to the impression of something built to last.
The faux meteorite pattern sits beneath a smooth resin layer inside the polished black tungsten frame. The detail is all visual ā the ring feels polished all over, but the pattern gives it a depth and character that plain bands donāt have. Matt bought the Fireball as an engagement ring and described the meteorite band as having āa really cool looking texture to itā ā all visible beneath the smooth surface.

An 8mm black polished tungsten band with a faux meteorite inlay running through the centre. Why Tungsten Lasts
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery ā 9 on the Mohs scale, one step below diamond. It wonāt scratch from everyday contact, wonāt bend under pressure, and wonāt tarnish from moisture or skin.
The black finish is applied with PVD coating ā a vapour deposition process that bonds colour at a molecular level rather than plating it on top. Itās the same process used on luxury watches. The result: a finish that holds indefinitely under normal wear.
