THE DETAILS
The gold colour is applied using PVD — Physical Vapour Deposition — the same process used on luxury watches. It bonds at a molecular level rather than sitting on top. It won’t tarnish, peel, or wear through. Mandy from the United States called the colour stunning. Titanium is roughly 50% lighter than traditional metals like tungsten and gold. Gordon from Dumfries wears his continuously as a replacement wedding ring and finds it very comfortable. Titanium rates 6 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than gold and platinum, and tough enough for daily wear. It will develop a fine patina of surface marks over time, but these polish out easily. The real advantage is weight: titanium is roughly 50% lighter than traditional metals. That makes a noticeable difference on the hand, especially for someone who has never worn a ring before or is switching from gold.
