THE DETAILS
Titanium is roughly 50% lighter than traditional metals like tungsten and gold. At 4mm wide, the Tender is one of the lightest rings in the Manzora range. A 4mm band sits closer to the finger than a standard 6mm or 8mm ring. It’s less visible, less intrusive, and easier to get used to. If you’re buying for someone who doesn’t normally wear jewellery, or if you prefer something understated, this is the width to choose. Titanium is one of the most biocompatible metals known — the same grade used in surgical implants, hip replacements, and pacemaker cases. It won’t tarnish, corrode, or cause skin reactions. Titanium rates 6 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than gold and platinum, and tough enough for daily wear. It will develop a fine patina of surface marks over time, but these polish out easily. The real advantage is weight: titanium is roughly 50% lighter than traditional metals. Combined with a 4mm width, that makes the Tender one of the lightest metal rings you can wear.
Titanium is also one of the most biocompatible metals known. It’s the same grade used in hip replacements and dental implants — completely hypoallergenic, and it won’t corrode from moisture, sweat, or seawater. The finish is applied with PVD coating — a vapour deposition process that bonds at a molecular level rather than plating on top.
